Originally delivered as a standard 930 Turbo, this car was sent directly from Porsche's Stuttgart production line to Werk 1 in Zuffenhausen, the same facility responsible for building legendary competition cars including the 935 and 962. There, Porsche's Sonderwunsch craftsmen transformed it by hand into an authentic factory Slantnose, creating one of the final bespoke Flachbau cars before Porsche introduced the M505/M506 production option.
Today the car retains its original bespoke interior and the vast majority of its original paint, with only the front valance having been professionally refinished in 2022. Aside from the tasteful addition of a Porsche Classic radio, the car remains remarkably faithful to its original presentation.
Mechanically, the car has been extensively maintained by respected Porsche specialists. A comprehensive top-end engine rebuild was completed by Little Speed Shop in Rochester, New York, during 2021-2022, while the transmission was fully rebuilt by Road Scholars in Durham, North Carolina, over the winter of 2025-2026. During the engine work, an existing period 3.6-liter twin-plug conversion was retained, resulting in an estimated output of approximately 450-500 horsepower, delivering performance well beyond the factory specification while preserving the car's character. For collectors seeking complete originality, the engine can be returned to its original 3.3-liter configuration.
Over the past nine years, this Porsche has become one of the most recognizable factory Slantnose Turbos in the United States, appearing at some of the country's premier automotive events, including:
The Bridge VII (2023)
Radwood at The Amelia (2024)
The Hangar at The Amelia (2024)
The Bridge VIII (2024)
Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance (2024)
The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance – Porsche 50 Years of Turbo Class (2025)
Luftgekühlt 11 (2025)
Northville Concours (2026)
Its significance has also been recognized by Porsche itself, with the vehicle being featured by Porsche AG across its official media channels celebrating 50 Years of the Porsche 911 Turbo.
With exceptional provenance, one-of-one factory specification, documented ownership history, concours appearances, Porsche factory recognition, and meticulous long-term stewardship, this 1984 Porsche 911 Turbo Sonderwunsch represents an extraordinarily rare opportunity to acquire one of the most important factory-built Slantnose Turbos ever created. It is a centerpiece-level collector automobile equally suited for the world's premier concours events, Porsche collections, or continued enthusiast ownership.

Cars Offline is proud to present this extraordinary 1984 Porsche 911 Turbo Slantnose Sonderwunsch, one of the most historically significant factory-built Flachbau examples ever produced. Hand-built by Porsche's legendary Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) department, this car is the final Slantnose completed during the 1984 model year and the last of just 804 Porsche 930 Turbo coupes produced that year. It is also one of only 234 pre-M505/M506 Sonderwunsch Slantnose Turbos created before the option became a regular production offering.
Finished in one-of-one Paint-to-Sample Gemini Grey Metallic and specified to closely mirror Mansour Ojjeh's iconic 935 Street, the very car that inspired Porsche's Slantnose program, this example represents one of the rarest expressions of Porsche's Special Wishes era. Originally equipped with the desirable WLS performance package, Recaro Classic C heated power seats, LED boost gauge, Clarion G80 stereo, three-spoke steering wheel, and numerous bespoke details, it remains an exceptionally preserved and highly documented collector-grade Porsche.
Having been featured by Porsche AG during its worldwide celebration of 50 Years of the 911 Turbo, displayed at many of the country's most prestigious concours and enthusiast events, and carefully curated over the past decade, this Sonderwunsch Turbo stands among the finest and most recognizable factory Slantnose examples in existence.
